Etiquette when visiting Lakeview Cemetery

Lakeview is a peaceful sacred burial ground. We ask that you respect and follow our rules and regulations when visiting the cemetery.

Privacy and quiet

Please respect the privacy of people who are attending funerals or visiting family memorialsKeep noise levels to a minimum.
Loitering is not allowed.

Visiting graves

Please see our regulations for information regarding gravsite decorations.
Should you have to walk over a grave to visit a loved one’s grave, please be respectful and watch your step around gravestones, lawn vases, urns and plants.
Please do not let children play or climb on monuments.
Children under 16 years of age should be accompanied by an adult.
Please wear appropriate attire when visiting the cemetery. Shirt and shoes are required.Pets are not allowed on the grounds.
It is unlawful to pick flowers or remove plants, shrubs or trees.

Driving, biking and parking in the cemetery

Please drive your motor vehicle at a safe speed.

You may park along roads in the cemetery. Please do not park in front of an open internment site, unless you are part of the funeral procession.Do not drive or park on the grass.

Please turn down your radio so that the sound cannot be heard outside the vehicle.
